Competitive Employment (DES)
The aim of SA Group Enterprises competitive employment service is to offer quality services designed specifically for the Deaf and hearing impaired. The program targets employment opportunities that best match an individual’s career aspirations in order to find employment. The service supports an individual through the processes of preparing, finding and securing employment, once in employment supporting for both the employee and employer with the goal of successful long-term employment in the community.

Applying for a competitive employment service
people who are Deaf or hearing impaired, looking for work, registered with Centrelink and meet the following selection criteria :
- Be assessed at Centrelink as eligible for a DEEWR Service
- Open to exploring opportunities
- Assisting in Job search
- Attend appointments
- Be prepare to undertake work experience opportunities
- Be able to work for more than 8 hours per week
Referrals
You can be referred by Centrelink, JCA, another service, by a family member, or by yourself.

If you are currently in employment and are not receiving services from another agency, but need help to keep your job then we can assist.
If you meet all the selection criteria and are interested in applying for a service you will need to contact the Business Manager at Your Employment Success.
