SA Group Enterprises Incorporated is a social enterprise that provides valued employment opportunities for people with a disability through our specialist employment services.

Beginning with only a handful of people in the mid 1980s SA Group Enterprises now offers employment and services for more than 140 people.

SA Group Enterprises is committed to the principles of Social Role Valorisation (SRV) which translated well into sound business and human service practices setting our organisation apart from many others.

• The development of viable enterprises which operate within socially valued industries such as manufacturing, graphic design and IT.
• A focus on valued participation through tailored support and training programs, production management systems and work place modification.
• Sales and marketing which focuses on industry expertise, skill and quality, rather than the organisation’s social purpose.
• Integrated workplaces that employ industry-trained staff who work with and alongside people with a disability in a profession workplace.

These strategies have allowed us to offer greater employment opportunities for people with a disability within enterprises that employ a large cross section of the local community while at the same time generating a significant proportion of our operating revenues within skilled industry sectors.

Although registered with the ATO as a Deductible Gift Recipient, and so eligible to receive tax deductible gifts, our organisation does not directly advertise for charity, fund raise or seek business on this basis. Although any support or donation to our organisation is welcome, we feel activity marketing ourselves as a charity would diminish the value of our businesses' perceived professionalism in the community and more importantly the real contribution that people with a disability offer communities through active participation in employment.
